GEORGIAN ENGLISH ROSEWOOD DOUBLE FUSEE BRACKET CLOCK c.1830
A Georgian English Rosewood Bracket clock with original double fusee striking movement. The 8" cream dial signed 'Hubbard Ipswich' within a rounded arched case carved with flowering foliage, to the rear a lockable glazed viewing window. 16.5" inches high.
Information about maker
This clock is attributed to John Hubbard who is catalogued as working in the Ipswich area in the 1820s' as per the Pigot & Co directory of Suffolk traders.
The case is in good condition, has two small marks to the top of the case and an age related split just beneath the dial, the mechanism has been cleaned serviced and is fully working, - displays very well - supplied with winder.
