Information about the maker
This clock is attributed to William Pollard of Gravesend who came from a family of clockmakers originating in Crediton Devon England, his grandfather being known in the mid 1700s' as the maker of fine longcase and turret clocks.
The case is in overall good condition with a little age related cracking here and there, has small piece of the upper pediment lacking to the left hand side as viewed from the front and a corner of rear access door is also lacking, the mechanism has been cleaned serviced and is fully working, - displays very well - supplied with winder and pendulum and rear access door key.
